Default Haiti Earthquake - 01-15-2010, 12:46 PM

This 7.0 quake was huge and struck this country by surprise. Unfortunately, there is still much devastation in this region. Have any of you ever been here?

The whole country was already in bad enough shape already. This could just push them right off the edge..

I've heard about it, and yeah, it's really bad.

An interesting thing i found out, is that Haiti actually sent money to the US when Hurricane Katrina hit. I thought that was pretty amazing anyway.

It's really bad. It also hit in DR. I was very worried because my sister was traveling through DR and Haiti, but she's fine. My school is doing a fundraiser to help some in need there.

where is Haiti anyways, is it somewhere near Hawaii or other country. i often hear of it but still didn't get to know where in the map they are located actually.

anyways, it seemed more like the end of the world specially to those who were there at that time. one example was lady who was on the top of mountain or something. like in an elevated place and she was able to see and capture it as the smoke from debris rose up to the air as she was able to capture it on her cellphone. and you could hear the nervousness in her voice.

Haitian is now in need of every one's help. And i heard a few days ago that Haiti was hit by another earthquake. I think every one of us is eager to help but unfortunately we cant because of economy problems also, but one thing for sure that will give great help to Haitians is our prayer for them.

I don't know why the US is so involved in this. They are more involved in this then they were with New Orleans during Katrina!

I think that the US should send building equipment, building supplies, food and clean water and let the Hatians fend for themselves or this could turn into another Iraq.
