Those are useful tips, mikejhon, do you have any suggestions to help prevent getting carpal tunnel syndrome? Sometimes my wrists get really tired and I find that I am pushing down too hard with my wrists, unintentionally.

you should be sitting higher than your wrists, as they rest as you type on your keyboard. i never knew this until i started having cramps in my wrist. i narrowly avoided carpal tunnel!

most people use their keyboard right on top of their desks, which cases pressure on the wrists. get a keyboard drawer so the blood flows from your upper body down to your hands.

hope that helps!

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to look for a job next year, since I'll have enough age and I want to earn my own money.

it's possible, yes. i think it all depends on how long you sit at your computer. for instance, i'm at my computer most of my work day - around 7 hrs at least. i am very careful to make sure there is no pressure on my wrists. i have a keyboard drawer that pulls out, and i make sure my chair is higher so the blood flow is right.

even if you're young and think you don't have to worry about carpal tunnel, you do. take precautions now to avoid painful surgery later in life!!

For those with carpel tunnel it is better to join some sports like tennis or cricket where you can have movements of fingers.
