Default What makes Politics a dirty subject? - 11-22-2009, 09:51 AM

Do you think Politics is dirty? I like Politics as a debate, in English Class. I like to win and think forward. Thinking outside the box can be fun. But on the other hand, sometimes Politics is very dirty. Agree?

Politics have grown since 1776 and there was always bias involved. Some politicians were in it for the money, some for the cause and some for something else. I hope another Lincoln comes along and uses logic to help America out.

Unless we have another great President who actually cares for America, we are going to go down the drain. And this goes for any country and leader.

Politics is dirty because of bias, hidden agendas, 'corruption', and it's general impact and meaning to the common people. Their lives revolve around what is done political. Many problems are blamed on politics. Many are caused by politics.

It's a system where the loudest voice and the fattest wallet can achieve whatever they want in the face of intelligent individuals who can explain to them they're wrong but will be ignored anyway for stupid reasons.

Also unfortunately, not everyone agrees on who the intelligent individuals are.

Politics have been around a lot longer than 1776 - even before the Roman senate.

for years I've been telling people they need to look at other options other than the R and D next to their name. Too bad no one listens. Even people out promoting their candidates don't know how many people were on our ballot here in the last election.

politics are dirty cause politicians always pass the blame to other people when they had committed mistakes. and they are good in pinpointing to other people's mistakes but they are good in hiding their own mistakes.

I think the subject of politics can get messy at times. Just depends on how mature the debaters are, and when they are willing to stop debating over the subject

What makes it dirty are the people who decide to create the topics for discussion against them.

yeah we can't blame them sometimes cause only few good men is willing to take the risk and responsibility on running the country. so and also being politics that you are faced with temptation to abuse your power. it is not easy i guess to up there and in control.

I think that politics is dirty, politics is the benefits of various interest groups compete for a concentrated manner. It includes too many lies, slander, looting, strife, etc.

what exactly do you mean by "dirty"?

If you mean corrupt,

Then talking as a embarassed british citizen, our political system is massivley corrupt. As it only favours the main 3 political partys and anyone outside of that category does not stand a chance of getting any funds.

Labour barely even support the working class anymore and are practically conservative.
The conservatives, just don't even go there... I do not want a posh little Eten boy pretending to run Government.
The Liberal party aren't even liberal, in so many ways.

So basically britain is screwed. fail.

Politics are controversial and as I've said earlier there's a lot of people who are hypnotized by the money and they don't even try at thinking outside the box as Rick said.

Politics is dirty when the politicians make errors that cost the Nation in too many ways and if they live indecent lives..Unfortunately Money and Power can corrupt the Mind if the mind isn't healthy enough to use these tools in the most decent manner.

Politics isn't dirty imo, it's the politicians themselves that can be dirty.

And people like myself generally prefer not to discuss politics for a couple of reasons. For 1, they don't know much about the topic to begin with so they just regurgitate info they heard elsewhere, and 2, it starts debates and most people are afraid of what others will think if they disagree with them. That's my take on it.

The thuggery, rigging of election and assasination in order to gain power in to office makes politics adirty subject
