i think that is just another publicity stunt from this guy and other people. of course he will have lots of publicity and may earn him money. imagine making such a news, he could start a career out of it.

I dont think the guy is for real. Maybe he just wants attention. Never mind the parents, he is old enough to know what is best for him. Video game for a human? It is just weird.

It's a difference in culture. It obviously wouldn't happen in western culture, but Japan is different. After all, remember the guy who fell in love with the pillow case with an Anime character on it? At least there's some degree of interaction with the game character.

But still, I think it's a little ridiculous. Too bad the marriage will probably lower the replay value, if you get my drift.

Yeah like many other in here said I think its just for the show to attract attention from anybody. It could become a sensation if media would report this and that and soon he will get all the attention he wants. But in the end, this is just a show after all. I do not think anyone in the right mind would marry a character in a videogame.
